Why Armenians Need a USA Jobs?
Below are three main reasons why Armenians should try to find a United States job.
  1. United State Offers the Highest Salaries in the world
  2. United State Laws require US companies to offer the same high wages to qualifying foreigners
  3. You can work for US companies and still live in Armenia
1. United State Offers the Highest Salaries in the world.

The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the AVERAGE annual wages in the U.S. as $36,764 for 2002. More recently, the White House reports that the average hourly earnings of non-supervisory workers were $15.54 in March 2004. The White House also gets its information from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which states that in that same month, the average wage for workers in the private sector was around $520 a week.

2. United State Laws require US companies to offer the same high wages to qualifying foreigners

The United States Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) requires that the wages offered to a foreign worker must be the PREVAILING WAGE rate for the occupational classification in the area of employment. Where the prevailing wage rate is defined as the average wage paid to similarly employed workers in the requested occupation in the area of intended employment. Therefore it is illegal for US companies to offer fewer salaries to people from other countries than they offer to Americans.

3. You can work for US companies and still live in Armenia

Stephanie Luce with the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and Kate Bronfenbrenner at Cornell says the total of all jobs given to out of US countries reaches up to 400,000 jobs by the end of last year 2005. The report was prepared for a bipartisan Congressional group investigating outsourcing.
